It is a collection of light and easy reading - just for the fun of it, and contains no hard news, per se. It does include information of a general nature that is of interest to the general public, helpful hints, etc. There is limited advertising space and old style graphics are used whenever possible that encourages the reader to look it over. (See link below)As part of the newspaper, approximately 6,500 copies are distributed across the country to subscribers and through local counter sales. Special editions, such as the Civil War edition have a greater distribution. The magazine is a general interest publication and includes such things as articles by local writers, articles on how to take care of the lawn and garden, recipes, health hints, technological and computer developments, local history and a myriad of other informative tidbits and trivia that will be of use to the reader. There is also a periodic section on free things you can send for, travel information and a local events calendar. Readers have said - "It is the best thing I've seen in a newspaper… I really enjoy the ads… the article by Oliver Chagnastz, poking fun at everyone, is really a hoot." The magazine is included in The Herald as a FREE bonus. It can also be purchased separately in selected local retail outlets. Advertising | Cyber-Space | Oliver Chagnastz | Miscellaneous Stories |
